Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr.SDET)
We are a high performance team within CSS-ECO (Engineering, Communities & Online) organization that manages a series of enterprise support platforms to help customers get solutions. CSS is changing the way Microsoft customers receive product support by bringing live support to the cloud in an exciting new social interactive experience!
We are looking for exceptional and proven engineers who have a passion to dive deep into the architecture and to deliver mission critical business applications that are highly scalable, reliable, and to ultimately drive high customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible to collaborate with the product teams and partner systems to come up with the design solutions that integrate and support the business needs into our complex support ecosystem.
We seek a seasoned SDET who has a passion for quality assurance and testing, especially someone who can drive improvements on our test automations, performance testing, and test case management. This person should be the technical and thought leader in our test team. Responsibilities will include writing test specifications, test plans, and test cases; executing tests; writing test automations; implementing test tools and automation frameworks; working closely with the developers to instrument the system for performance and scalability analysis; working with other engineering groups to conduct joint integrated systems tests; and conducting troubleshooting, problem triage, and root cause analyses. We work in a fast paced environment that requires the ability to balance between multiple projects, drive clarity from ambiguity, manage change with consideration for business continuity and the quarterly release roadmap, and ensure the high quality of our product.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have
8+ years of software testing experience.
BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience is required
Strong knowledge and hands on test experience of Web Services, WCF, Javascript, ASP.Net, SOA, XML, SOAP, and .NET technology.
Experience testing in Azure a plus
Strong object oriented programming, debugging, and test automation skills with C#, C/C++
Demonstrated leadership in test methodology, automation, and test processes.
Experience in clarifying feature requirements with PMs, developers and businesses in a very dynamic and fast paced environment
Experience in various phases of testing, designing and developing complex enterprise applications.
Excellent understanding of relational database design and strong transactional SQL scripting skills
Solid communication skills, verbal and written
Experience of writing unit testing codes in various unit testing frameworks like NUnit, or JUnit
Ability to influence and drive quality across teams, across disciplines, and across organizations
Ability to perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive improvements
Experience in managing a small test team is a plus
