Caracas, 28 Jul. AVN.- In order to strengthen the Bolivarian thought of President Hugo Chavez, the head of state Nicolas Maduro signed a decree on Sunday to create the Hugo Chavez Institute for Advanced Studies in Sabaneta, Barinas State.
"Listen, mayors, ministers, governors, government and people's power, this institute will strengthen the thoughts of Hugo Rafael Chavez Frias," he said from the Bolivar square of Commander hometown, on the occasion of the commemoration of 59th anniversary of his birth.
Similarly, Maduro announced that Professor Adam Chavez, socialist president's brother and also governor for Barinas state, will be the president of the institute.
"Dear Commander and brother, from that celestial plane where you're guiding us we say: Happy Birthday! This is the first one without your physical presence but we will continue with Nicolas, all political cabinet, the revolutionary force, we will continue the Bolivarian Revolution "Adan Chavez said.
The revolutionary president's brother said there is a true unity and commitment to continue the struggle started by Chavez.
"Chavez said it on December 8, 2012, 'We have homeland' and he really left us a free and sovereign country," he added.
About the new challenge that lies ahead as president of the new institute for advanced studies, he said: "This is perhaps the most difficult task that I have had for that blend of emotions I feel, and is also a way to promote the values he left us. We still have a long way to go, and we will continue to spread his legacy everywhere."
He continued, "It is essential to embody the thoughts and actions of Chavez in all states and throughout our continent."
